Sewickley Township Public Library

Library Closure and Programs

With the help of the Township supervisors, the Library Board and Staff are making plans to move into the Township-owned building at 312 Sewickley Avenue. This is the former site of the sewage authority and the tax office, and is across the parking lot from the old bank building. Although this building is smaller, we feel that it will be a sufficient space for the Library to serve the community while working on long-term permanent plans. While we are housed in this building, part of our collection will be placed in storage. However, we will still be purchasing new books, movies and other items, and will have the same access to the collections of other libraries in Westmoreland County that we always have. We are confident that once we are moved into this facility, we will be back up and running in the same capacity, and offering the same services, that you have come to expect from your community library. We are still working out the logistics surrounding this move, but hope to be open for business within the next few weeks. In the meantime, if you have questions or need any help, please reach out to us at sewickley@wlnonline.org or message us on Facebook! Thank you for your patience and support as we continue to navigate this complicated situation.

All information for the Library’s programs, can be found on our Facebook page, our website www.sewickleytownshippubliclibrary.org, and will be advertised by email.

Thank you again for your continued support!
