About the Staff

Debbie Flinner, Library Director

Holding both bachelor's and master's degrees in the education field from the University of Dayton and Seton Hill University, respectively, Debbie has finally graduated from teaching preschool for the last 20 years to heading our Library staff. By admission, her favorite literary genre is Kiddie Lit, which she believes is best when read aloud. She is a self-proclaimed "sports junkie" who loves to cook and bake. Debbie currently resides in North Huntingdon with her husband Stan and hare-brained pet rabbit, Oreo.

Mandy Luchs, Librarian

Mandy has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from Penn State University and a Master of Library Science Degree from Clarion University. Prior to coming to Sewickley Township, Mandy worked as the Library Director at the Johnsonburg Public Library in Elk County for two years. She lives with her husband Ryan, daughter Madeline and son Benjamin in Harrison City, where she grew up.

Mandy served as the Library Director from October 2003 - April 2009. She recently stepped down as the director to spend more time with her children, but is still working at the Library on a limited basis to help with state reports, grant writing, and other administrative tasks. She says, “I have really enjoyed my time here at Sewickley Twp. It has been so much fun helping the Library to grow and expand its programs and services. I am particularly proud of the incredible growth of our children’s programs, especially the Summer Reading Program. People often ask my why I don’t work at a larger library, but I truly feel that working at a small library is what I’m meant to do.”

Sharon Seibert, Assistant

Sharon has a Bachelor of Science degree and a Master of Education degree in Elementary Education from Bob Jones University. Previously, she taught third grade for three years and was an elementary school Librarian/Media Specialist for six years. In addition to her duties at Sewickley Township Public Library, Sharon is active in her church and in homeschooling her sons. She lives in Madison with her husband Dan and sons Michael and Nathanael.

Sharon looks forward to getting to know people in the community and assisting them at the library.

Naomi Cross, Assistant

Naomi is currently working towards her Associate's Degree in Small Business Management at Westmoreland County Community College. Before joining the library staff, Naomi provided care for children in church and home settings. When she is not at the library, she is busy taking care of her own daughters. She is a lifelong resident of Arona, where she lives with her husband, Nathan, and daughters, Dakota and Hayden.

Naomi is grateful for the opportunity to work in the library and be involved in such an important part of the community.
